What is Classroomscreen?

Hi! We are so glad you are here - welcome to Classroomscreen! We provide a variety of tools such as timers, a randomizer, and a noise level meter, that can be displayed on a digital screen to support teaching and learning. We call these tools widgets, and now have 25 different ones to assist you.

You can combine all the widgets you need to set clear expectations, collect feedback, support your time management, and much more! Whether you're using an interactive whiteboard (IWB) or a projector, Classroomscreen is compatible with your classroom setup.

We believe that Classroomscreen can make teaching more effective and engaging in just a few clicks. You can set visual timers to keep activities on track and use noise level monitors to manage the classroom atmosphere. Display instructions clearly with the text box, and make lessons interactive with the drawing tool and media embedding. Involve all students by using random name pickers and quickly gauge understanding with polls. Customizing backgrounds and themes also helps create an engaging and relevant learning environment.

I open Classroomscreen each morning and it follows me through my day with tools to make my lessons run smoothly. It is the best classroom management tool around!

Can I use it for free?

In short answer - yes! We are committed to making our platform accessible by offering free access to all teachers. All our widgets are available for free so you can just open up the app and get teaching, with no ads, forever. With a free Basic account, you can save three different name lists too, and have unlimited access to our Library of ready-made screens. 

However, we do have a Pro version which allows you to: 

• Save your screens to cut down on prep time.
• Access to our Pro backgrounds and themes.
• Save up to 100 name lists and images. 

This costs $29.90 a year and allows us to not only keep developing the app full-time but also provide the Basic plan for everyone! If this sounds appealing, make sure to give our free trial a go for 14 days - no credit card needed.

Meet the widgets

Once you have opened Classroomscreen, you will see a randomized background and the widget bar at the bottom of the screen - this is where the magic happens. Go ahead and try out some of the widgets! To add a widget to your screen, simply click on the icon. You can then customize the widget's settings and position it wherever you like. 

Our Library

Don’t have time to make a screen from scratch? Our Library is here to help! With over 50+ ready-made screens, you can just open them up and get teaching. These screens are called ‘templates’ because they are fully customizable. You can easily add or remove widgets, and change the template to suit your needs.

Our blog is packed full of handy tips, teacher stories, and inspirational ideas for how you can make the most out of Classroomscreen. Our blog is divided into three categories; inspiration, learning, and product updates. Product updates are added when we have lots of new features to share, with regular updates of both inspirational and educational content in the other two categories. The Dashboard

Once you have opened your first screen, click on the home icon in the top left corner. Welcome to the Dashboard! It is an overview of all the screens you have created so you can easily navigate and organize your space by adding collections and dragging screens around to construct your perfect lesson plan. 

In addition to screen management, you will also find all your name lists here. Whether you're building a team, assigning tasks, or simply taking attendance, the ability to create and customize name lists is one of our most popular features.
