About this template
This creative and engaging activity starts with rolling two dice and then use their imagination to construct a sentence that incorporates the selected icons.
How to play
Each student takes turns rolling two dice: one representing colors (e.g red, yellow, blue) and the other representing numbers (one through five). After rolling the dice, students match the color and number rolled to a corresponding icon from a provided chart. For example, if the color rolled is yellow and the number rolled is four, the corresponding icon might be a bed.
Using the matched icon as inspiration, students construct a sentence that incorporates that icon and reflects its meaning or emotion. For example, if the matched icon is a happy cat, a player might say "my cat was happy this morning".
Students continue taking turns rolling the dice, matching icons, and creating sentences. The game can continue for as many rounds as desired, allowing students to explore different icons and sentences.
