What's new in Classroomscreen: January 2026

10 min

If your Dashboard looks a little different, don’t worry — you’re in the right place! In this post, we’ll walk you through the new layout, improved organization tools, and an exciting new way for schools to collaborate: Teams.

What is this update?

We've spent the last two years redesigning the entire application from the ground up to make your teaching life simpler, whether you’re using it on your own or as part of a school community. For teachers, it’s a faster, more intuitive way to create and manage lessons through better storage, filtering and navigation options. For schools, the new Teams feature and Organization-level data management make co-working effortless.

Getting started without an account

When you open Classroomscreen without logging in, you’ll now see a short welcome message before you begin. From there, you can choose to start from scratch or pick from one of our ready-made templates — perfect for trying things out quickly.

tip:

If you prefer not to see this reminder again, simply tick the box to hide it in the future.

A new way to organize your screens

Say goodbye to collections and workspaces and hello to screen decks and folders. This new structure make it easier than ever to manage your teaching materials while keeping everything tidy and accessible.

Screen decks replace collections, with different display and filtering options so you can keep on top of your resources. Colorful icons and clean tiles make it easy to see who created each deck, how many screens it has, and where it belongs.

Your old workspaces have been upgraded to folders, which are simpler to customize and visually organized. Give each folder a name, choose an icon color, and keep your screen decks perfectly organized.

Your Name lists and Backgrounds are now stored neatly above your Folders in the Dashboard, making them easy to access whenever you’re preparing your next lesson.

tip:

Try out the new display and filter options to find a layout that suits you best. The “Expanded” view will feel most familiar if you’ve used Classroomscreen before.

From your Dashboard, you can start a new screen deck from scratch or choose one of our ready-made templates from the Library. Every template you use is automatically saved to your workspace or Team workspace — no extra setup needed!

Introducing Teams (for Organizations only)

One of the biggest new features in Classroomscreen V4 is Teams, available exclusively for schools and organizations with an Organization account. Teams makes working together seamless.

Teachers within the same Organization can now:

  • Create shared screen decks that everyone in the Team can use — no sharing links needed.
  • Share name lists, backgrounds, and more directly with colleagues.
  • Work together across departments, grade levels, or teaching groups to stay consistent and save time.

Creating a Team is simple:

  1. From your Dashboard, select “Create new team” in the top-left corner.
  2. Invite any teacher from your Organization to join.
  3. Start collaborating and building shared teaching resources together.

note:

Everything created within an Organization’s Teams — including screens, decks, and materials — belongs securely to the school, ensuring data privacy and continuity even as staff changes over time.

Account settings & more

At the bottom-left corner of your Dashboard, you’ll find three key tabs:

  • Settings: Manage your profile, subscription, and language preferences.
  • Updates: Stay up to date on new widgets, templates, and feature releases.
  • Help: Browse how-to guides, watch short tutorials, or contact our support team directly.

Everything you need to manage your account and stay informed is now in one convenient place.

Happy teaching!

We can’t wait to see how you and your colleagues use the new Classroomscreen to power your classrooms this school year.
