How the visual timer widget works
The Visual Timer is simple to use but incredibly effective. Adjust the timer by clicking and dragging the carets in the circular timer—move them clockwise or counterclockwise to add or remove minutes. This visual representation shows the minutes ticking down, similar to an analog clock, which is really helpful for students who are learning to read clocks!
This timer is particularly helpful for young children to grasp time management, while older students can use it to learn the value of time and the importance of sticking to time limits.
Widget settings
- Sound effects: Choose from over 20 sound options when the timer hits zero. This customizable feature adds an auditory cue that lets students know when time is up. Your sound choice is automatically saved for users with Basic and Pro accounts.
- By default, the Visual Timer is set to 10 minutes, but you can easily adjust this time in the settings. Once updated, this change will apply to any new timer widgets added to your screen.
- Choose how you'd like the timer to display—either clockwise or counterclockwise.
- If you'd prefer not to display the digital time beneath the visual timer, you can hide it via the settings, leaving only the visual representation of time.
