Your Classroomscreen Dashboard is your home screen, where you can see all your folders, screen decks, access your account settings as well as create new screens.
You can also manage your uploaded backgrounds, name lists or get a headstart by browsing our Library of ready-made templates that are available for everyone to use.
note:
Can't find your dashboard? Then you could be in the widget screen, so click on the 'Home' icon in the upper left-hand corner.
Your screens are organized into 'screen decks' which contain one or more screens. You can create a new screen deck by clicking on the purple ' + Create new' button at the top of your dashboard. You can start one from scratch or use a ready-made template from our Library.
If you have a Pro account, you will see all the screen decks you have made, which we have saved to your account. This happens automatically - no need to look for a 'save' button. If you want to learn more about how screen saving and sharing works, you can read more about it here.
note:
If you are a Basic user or are not logged in, you will see an empty Dashboard and can create a new screen or use our templates; the screens that you've created in that session will not be saved.
Our top tips
Not sure how to utilise or group your screen decks? Here are some tips:
If you choose to "Pin" a widget, it will be visible in the same location on all screens within that screen deck. Great for a calendar or a clock!
Many teachers create a screen deck for each day, so you don't need to jump between decks in the Dashboard in lesson time.
Navigate between the screens in your screen deck directly from your widget screen by clicking on the screen count on the bottom-right side.
Additional screen settings
You can layout your screens in three different formats: grid, expanded and list view.
In the expanded view, click on the options button in the upper right-hand corner of a screen to duplicate, rename, and delete screens in your deck. Add a screen to your deck by clicking on the purple '+' button.
tip:
Click and drag on a screen in your deck to move it around and modify the order of your lesson. It is also possible to move a screen from one deck to another.
Managing your screen decks
In any view (grid, list, or expanded), you can rename, duplicate, share, move, archive, or delete a screen deck.
To access the full range of options, click on the options button in the lower right-hand corner of a deck to access the full menu of possible actions.
On the left-hand side of the Dashboard, you will see various menu options. From here, you can access your Name lists, Backgrounds, and Folders and navigate back to your last open screen.
You can manage your custom backgrounds here as well as upload new ones. Find out more about managing uploaded images & backgrounds here.
important:
If you are a Basic user, your uploaded backgrounds will not be saved and so you will only be able to manage the backgrounds found in your current screen.
Screen decks can be placed into different folders, which is perfect if you teach different subjects or year groups.
Creating new folders
To create a new folder, click the white '+' button on the right-hand side of the menu - easy peasy!
Now you can name it and select a color. After that, be sure to click the purple 'create folder' button to add it to your menu.
Get access to your archived decks and recover your deleted work!
Sorting screens in folders
Click on any of your folders to see what screen decks are saved there.
Click and drag a folder in your menu to change the order.
Managing folder settings
When you have a folder open, you can click on the options button next to the folder name (at the top of your dashboard) to edit, archive, or delete it.
In the bottom left-hand side of the Dashboard, you will see three buttons: Settings, Updates, and Help. Let's dive into what they all mean!
